100 Middlefield Road, Menlo Park, CA
Architectural Design Firm: HPS Architects
General Contractor: BCCI Construction
100 Middlefield Road is a 10,000 square foot, 2-story office building formerly operated by an international venture capital firm. This office building is located in Menlo Park, California. The project consisted of a commercial tenant improvement in an existing building shell. The design included a private gymnasium, shower room, private partner offices, private partner lounge, gallery, kitchen and conference rooms.
The major design elements of the project consisted of the wood ceiling, the gypsum archways, the custom light sconces, custom kitchen cabinetry and custom fireplace bar.
The project utilized design-build delivery methodology. Because the project was intended for a high-end client, the project contained several custom millwork pieces and a higher level of coordination. Working in collaboration with the selected contractor, the project team was able to avoid these potential construction issues and streamline the delivery of the project.
